Bespoke Design Services
You may have shopped in our stores, but did you know we have an in-house team of design consultants who create beautiful bespoke spaces for our clients every day? We offer free in-store design services to help you make informed decisions – whether you need accent chairs, outdoor dining furniture, wall mirrors, bedroom furniture, or something else. For a modest fee, our designers also offer in-home consultations to discuss large projects or for a more in-depth customized experience. No matter what our clients come to us with, we make sure they are included in every step! Extensive Design Centers
All three of our GDC Home locations have fully equipped design centers with thousands of samples. Everything from drapery and upholstery weight fabrics to wallpapers, paint colors, and everything in between. There is a world of options out there. Deciding on everything from pattern to colorway to material can be overwhelming if you don’t have swatches in front of you. Our Design Centers are the first place you should go if you want to get your hands on the latest and greatest in the interior design industry. The Largest Rug Selection in South Carolina
As direct importers, we hand-select all of the rugs in our inventory. Our buyers travel to India and domestic markets to offer the best selection for every taste and budget. Because we import directly we have the best possible prices available. In addition to our one-of-a-kind, hand-knotted selections we carry rugs from top manufacturers including Dash & Albert, Surya, and Loloi. Our very own Whitaker Rugs division can custom fabricate numerous styles of natural grass (seagrass/sisal/jute) and indoor-outdoor rugs.
Sustainability Efforts
We are deeply committed to sustainability, using eco-conscious practices throughout our three locations. Our stores are powered by solar panels, with motion-activated 100% LED light fixtures. We also use high SEER HVAC units, ceiling batt insulation, infrared-reducing window film, and wifi-controlled and programmable thermostats to create the most energy-efficient spaces possible. Our flagship store is carbon-neutral, requiring no outside power source to run. Eventually, we plan to make all of our stores completely sustainable because taking care of the environment is always a top priority!
