Store Manager – GDC Home is seeking a motivated, optimistic professional with a passion for customer service to oversee daily operations at our boutique Freshfields Village store!  This role requires excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to stay organized and manage time effectively in a fun, fast paced creative environment.  Managers must have the ability to oversee the big picture, while making certain that each small detail is addressed to meet the needs of the business on daily, weekly and monthly tasks.  Confidence and strength in problem solving are key assets to handling our amazing clients with the care and attention they deserve.  We know you will LOVE working with our extremely talented and hardworking team to help drive successful experiences and profitability of our beautiful store. Design Consultants We are hiring outgoing, creative Design Consultants for all three locations, Charleston, Mount Pleasant, and Kiawah. GDC Design Consultants are passionate about home design and committed to going above and beyond for their clients. Candidates for this full-time position must be self-motivated, goal oriented and possess a strong desire to excel in professional interior design sales. Previous retail and/or interior design is required. Hourly wage plus commission gives you an amazing earning potential! GDC offers excellent benefits and a great work environment.

 

Visual Merchandiser – A full time Visual Merchandiser is needed for GDC HOME, a locally owned home furnishings store, at our Charleston location. The primary responsibility of this position is to create eye-catching visual displays that inspire our customers and invite them to explore our store. Candidates should have a passion for design with a strong sense of color. Candidates must be self-motivated, able to work well with others, and able to move furniture independently around the showroom. The Visual Merchandiser will work with management to ensure appropriate inventory levels are maintained. Previous creative or visual merchandising experience is preferred. Saturday work required, but no Sundays or nights.

 

Stockroom Associate – Primary responsibilities include receiving and tagging merchandise for the showroom floor, assisting loading and unloading merchandise to be transported, as well as other stockroom and warehouse tasks at our Charleston location. This person must be detail oriented, able to multi-task and work independently. This position is physically demanding with heavy lifting. Clean background check and drug screen required. Full time. No weekends or nights. Competitive wage and great benefits.

 

Store Level Stock Support person – This full time position at our Charleston location requires presence on the showroom floor and directly inner-acting with our customers. Primary responsibilities include moving furniture and other items to and from the showroom floor, loading furniture and other merchandise into customer vehicles, opening and assembling furniture and maintaining stock room. Physically demanding with heavy lifting. Requires problem solving skills and ability to assemble furniture. Must be able to multi-task and work independently. Saturday work required. Client Service Representative – We are seeking a full-time Client Service Representative for our Mount Pleasant store. The ideal candidate has an enthusiastic, friendly demeanor and enjoys working in a creative environment. Responsibilities include sales transactions, answering phones and supporting sales staff. An interest in interior design is helpful. Computer experience a must and retail experience is preferred.
