Custom merchandise

GDC does not accept returns on custom upholstery. Custom upholstery is made to order for you and may take up to 12 weeks for delivery. For that reason, please make sure to measure all doorways to ensure your items will fit and be aware that upholstery dye lots may vary. Contact customerservice@gdchome.com if you need to match dye lots.

Oversized merchandise

Items delivered via freight or a delivery service are returnable (excluding the above-mentioned custom merchandise). These items are eligible for full refund to original form of payment within 7 days of receipt. Delivery fees and shipping charges are NOT refundable. One may incur a restocking fee of up to 10% of the purchase price.

FedEx/UPS shipped merchandise

Items delivered via FedEx/UPS are eligible for full refund to original form of payment within 7 days of receipt.


Damages

Oversized merchandise

Furniture is carefully inspected prior to shipment, you must inspect your pieces upon delivery. For items received via White Glove service, freight transport or delivery service if signature is required at the time of delivery, any damages must be noted at this time. Damaged merchandise must be refused and sent back with the carrier or delivery service for inspection. Please use the online return form to alert us immediately if damage is discovered. WE CANNOT ACCEPT DAMAGED RETURNS IF THE DELIVERY HAS BEEN SIGNED FOR AND ACCEPTED. Replacements/restorations will be handled on a case by case basis. Please note that photos of damaged merchandise and packaging may be requested.

How to return Online

Please use the online return form associated with your order to alert us within 7 day of receipt. Please ensure all returns are packaged properly as GDC is not responsible for damages that occur in transit. Shipping and handling charges are non-refundable, unless the item received is damaged, defective or incorrect. Return shipping charges are customers responsibility. Taxes charged are refunded in accordance with state and local laws. Returns sent via USPS that arrive with postage due will be returned to sender.

How to return to store

Items may only be returned to one of our stores with preapproval. Items purchased from our website may be physically returned to GDC Home at 1290 Sam Rittenberg Blvd., Charleston, SC. Our stores CANNOT REFUND YOUR ORDER in the store. Once your website purchase has been physically inspected and checked in, our website will process your return within 1 business day. You will be emailed a return receipt. Please be aware individual bank processing times may vary.
