Since 1978, GDC Home has proudly offered a comprehensive selection of furnishings reflecting the casual elegance of the Charleston, SC area. GDC Home offers everything you need to design or update your indoor and outdoor spaces.

Our buyers travel the globe curating a variety of goods to inspire, excite, and intrigue our clients. A custom-made sofa from North Carolina sits beside a one-of-a kind table from India, China, or Indonesia. Textiles are handpicked in India. Beautiful rugs are individually selected in India, Turkey, Iran, and Pakistan. Unique accessories are sourced from all over the globe.

In addition to the vast array of curiosities for which GDC Home is known, we partner with the finest vendors in the home furnishings industry. Buyers attend domestic and international markets to bring to our clients the latest in upholstered and outdoor furniture, case goods, fabrics, lighting, bedding, and home accessories. Our goal is to offer a huge selection of home furnishings and accessories of exceptional quality, value, and timeless style.

When visiting our stores, GDC Home clients are greeted by a friendly and talented team of Design Consultants who are delighted to share their expertise. Whether the challenge is to update a small vignette or furnish an entire home, the GDC team will work with you to develop a plan to transform any house into a comfortable, gracious home. For a modest hourly fee, Design Consultants will visit your home and create a design plan and budget to satisfy your every need.

GDC Home has evolved from a tiny 2,500 sq. ft. shop selling fabric “seconds” staffed by two sales people to an over 100,000 sq. ft. multi-location home decor emporium employing over 60 full-time staff members. Visit our three locations in Charleston, Mount Pleasant and Kiawah.
