Terms and Conditions for Online Purchases
Once an order is placed, you will receive an automatic confirmation to the e-mail address provided during checkout. Upon receiving your order confirmation please review all aspects of the order for accuracy. Contact us immediately if any changes need to be made as some orders ship out the day of order.
If you would like to exchange or return an item purchased from GDC Home’s online store, contact customer service within 7 days of receiving your order. There are items on our site that are not eligible for exchange or return. After submitting your return request all information will be reviewed and an RA (return authorization) number will be issued. Please note that all items shipped back to us without an RA number will not be accepted and will be returned to you. All returned items must be in their original unused condition and in their original packaging. All custom items (such as upholstery) are final sale. Any lighting with cut wires is also a final sale and cannot be resold. If you have any questions about what items are considered custom, please contact one of our friendly staff before placing an order. All Furniture, Custom Orders, Wall Art, Textiles: including but not limited to; Rugs, Drapery, Throws, Pillows & Blankets, tabletop and certain manufacturers are not eligible for return or exchange -If you are not sure if your order qualifies for a return please contact us prior to purchase.
You can expect a refund to be issued in the same form of payment that was originally used for your purchase. Please understand that refunds can take up to 14 days for us to process your refund from the time of receipt back to our warehouse. Once the item or items are received they are inspected and a refund request is sent to our credit department. Once a credit is given it can take several days to post through the credit card processor and issuing bank. Please note that all shipping fees are non-refundable.
Wrong Product Received:
If you are shipped a different product from what you ordered, please call or e-mail us within 48 hours of receiving the product. We will provide RA# as well as instructions on how and where to ship the item(s) back. In the event this happens we will gladly handle all freight and shipping charges and make sure the correct item is shipped to you free of charge.
If you need to make changes to an order please contact us immediately. Some orders ship the same day so timing is very important. Calling to request changes to an order does not guarantee that these changes can be made. Please review order carefully before submitting online.
If you receive an item and it is damaged or defective, please contact us immediately. In most cases, we will require a photo of the damage. Once the item is deemed defective a replacement will be issued and sent to you as soon as possible. At this time you will also receive instruction on if the defective/damaged merchandise needs to be returned to us or discarded.
If there is obvious freight damage upon receipt of an order, you must refuse the shipment at the time of delivery. Make sure you or the driver notes said damage on the bill of landing. We will then arrange for a replacement shipment from the manufacturer. If you sign for a shipment that has obvious freight damage you are responsible for all damage and must file your own claim with the shipping agency.
If you receive a freight order with concealed damage, you must contact customer service within 48 hours. If you fail to report damage in a timely manner, you will be responsible for all damage and will be required to file a claim with the shipping company.
While we strive to stock most of our inventory, some items do become unavailable and become on backorder. GDC Home makes every effort to ship all orders complete. If an item is out of stock or unavailable, we will ship it as soon as it becomes available from the manufacturer. If for some reason the item is no longer available, we will contact you immediately. Please call a customer service representative to check the real-time availability of any item listed on our site.
GDC Home is registered in the state of South Carolina and is responsible for collecting 7.5% state sales tax on all orders shipped within the state.
We accept all major credit cards including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. All transactions are handled through an SSL secure, encrypted and protected server.
GDC Home upholds the warranties provided by the item manufacturer. Because the details and duration of our manufacturers’ warranties differ, we encourage you to ask one of our customer service staff for specific warranty information and products you are interested in purchasing.
