Our interior design consultants will walk you through every stage of the design process and have the ability to tie everything together for that perfect room or setting.

In-Home Design Consultation

Easily one of our most popular and successful programs is our In-Home Consultations.  For a modest hourly fee, our knowledgeable, design-oriented sales professionals will visit your home and develop a formal written design plan and budget to satisfy your every need.

Workroom Services

GDC Home Interior Designers can help you select and order custom made pillows, shams, shower curtains, bed skirts, table skirts, and duvet covers.  Don’t be intimidated by custom furniture covers and fabric, our design professionals are there to help and guide you through the process.

Design Consultant

Lori is originally from Boston Massachusetts, where her love of antiques and historic properties began. Lori moved to Daniel Island after many vacations to the Low Country and found the unique color palette and coastal charm a place for endless inspiration. Lori’s favorite styles are an eclectic blend of West Indies influenced pieces and relaxed textiles. A soft layered room with unique southern collections is where you’ll find her! Lori has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Massachusetts and a Design Certificate from Ashworth College.

I am a 5’6 bundle of creative enthusiasm. Born and raised in Sumter, SC. I grew up with an affinity for Art which later led me to The Art Institute of Charleston where I attained a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a major in interior design. After school I went on to assist in the design, planning, and coordination for home renovations. I enjoy creating interiors with a fresh perspective that uniquely reflect the client’s personality and desires. I focus on the client’s needs and vision so I can help to make them a reality.

Interior Designer Gil Tisdale

Gil Tisdale

Assistant Manager | Design Consultant

Gil joined GDC in 2008, after working as an interior designer in Pawleys Island, SC for two years.  He holds a BFA from Clemson University and also studied design and art history while attending the Istituto Internazionale in Orvieto, Italy.  Gil’s design style blends modern influences, contemporary color palettes, and more casual furnishings, creating a clean yet eclectic aesthetic.

Interior Designer Deirdre Stevens

Deirdre Stevens

Deirdre Stevens, a native New Yorker recently relocated to Charleston. Deirdre’s eye for design started at a young age (actually, re arranging furniture and styling homes while babysitting!) leading the way for her own design business in Eastern Long Island. For the past decade, Deirdre was the Design Director of the largest design showroom and home furnishings store in the Hampton’s, Long Island where she got a glimpse into the lives of the rich and famous. Deirdre’s decorating style is described as clean lined, uncluttered and quiet, with pops of unexpected color and thoughtful accents. She enjoys mixing antiques and vintage with just about anything. A fondness of Swedish and Gustavian period pieces, explains her love for incorporating the beautiful worn patinas of soft grays and blues with traditional and even modern room schemes to create what she calls a wonderful watercolor effect…perfect for any home near the sea.

Susan believes that your home or work space is the stage on which you live out your life so shouldn’t it be amazing? She is passionate about helping her clients create beautiful environments that enable them not only to feel good but to empower them to live their lives well. With 20 years of experience in interior design, Susan had her own design business in Fairfield County CT, New York City and, most recently, Pawleys Island prior to joining the GDC family. Susan is comfortable working in a wide range of styles. Her previous projects include historic homes, beach houses, sleek, modern city apartments and even a church! Her work has been published in Viking Studio’s book Suburban Renewal by Tom Connor.

Christine is from Georgia. She has a degree in Merchandizing and Interior Design. She has been with GDC for 7 years. During this time, she has worked in fabrics and now on the main merchandizing floor. Her focus is understanding the customers desire to decor palette and providing a design in textures' colors, fabric, and quality furnishings.

Amanda is a Kansas native who happily finds herself in Charleston in conjunction with the U.S. Navy. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Fine Art and Spanish, earned at Kansas State University and the University of Granada, Spain. Her love of interior design motivated her to study independently with the College of Interior Architecture and Product Design at K-State, as well as take courses in event planning. Amanda enjoys using color and texture to bring together a room where each piece has a unique story.
